The ragdoll is an attractive semi-longhair cat breed with amazing blue eyes. Ragdolls is a very affectionate, playful, loyal and home loving cat that love to follow you every time at home. They are also intelligent enough to hide the claws while play with you. They are also known for greet you at the doors just like guard dogs.

The coat of ragdoll cats appear in four different patters called pointed, mitted, bicolor and lynx. Each pattern comes in a variety of colors including blue, seal, chocolate, red, lilac and cream. They shed their shiny hairs in different seasons. The ears and tail of ragdoll cats have dark markings. They weigh between 3.5 -8 kilograms and have an average lifespan of 14 years.

The name “Ragdoll” is derived from the tendency of individuals from the original breeding stock to go limp and relaxed when picked up. Particularly popular in both the United Kingdom and the breed’s native United States, ragdoll cats often are known as “dog-like cats” or “puppy-like cats” due to behaviors such as their tendency to follow people around, their ease at being physically handled, and their relative lack of aggression toward other pets.
